If you need to find short-term vacation coverage, candidate search tools can fill your vacancy, keep your patients covered and keep your clinic operational. Go to the advanced search tools and create a search for providers in your city interested in short term jobs and who are already familiar with your electronic health records system. Alternatively you could search for providers whose availability matches your exact dates. Even if no matches are identified, set an alert to catch providers with last minute openings and to be the first one notified when a person in your area, or interested in your area, declares a new interest in temporary jobs. If you’re in a rural or remote location you know how challenging it can be to find good people. Candidate search lets you find those adventurous candidates interested in exploring new places. There are multiple ways to create search buckets, so try as many options as you can imagine, and if there are no results make sure you set up search alerts so you’re the first person to be notified as soon as one comes online. Examples could include a search alert for providers who are open to learning about new opportunities, have indicated an interest in rural jobs and are currently located in your province. Another search bucket might be providers who are open interested in locum jobs, and who are willing to travel for work, and who have expressed an interest in your province. The more search alerts you create, and the more specific you are, the better your results will be.
There are plenty of fish in the sea and plenty of providers interested in advancing their career. You can use recruiting tools to find healthcare professionals in your area who might be interested in your job openings based on several compatibility factors including location, commute distance, strength of desire to find a new job, providers interested in your patient demographics and more. You can also set up search alerts so that as soon as somebody new enters the system you’re the first one notified!
